CNY 2006

Gong Xi Fa Cai....
Chinese New Year falls on Jan 29 this year.
1/29 was on Saturday and because of this, many Asian places (Asian malls) are full of people. Really crowded until you don't feel like going there. I went dinner with my good friends on Saturday night and didn't really have good experience. The wait was long (for almost 1 hour) and the service was bad. Not to mention, not much dishes choice. After the long wait, we finally got our table (at almost 9pm). Anyway, we tried to enjoy ourselves happily since it was CNY dinner :). I think this is understood that people (servers) get cranky when it is way too much of work during that day (or say that night). I actually respect those people (especially Chinese people) who worked on that day and I don't really mind to see them cranky unless it was too bad service.

Talked to family by using SKYPE version 2. What's new about version 2? It has the webcam feature now. Talking about this, it amazed me with its quality and high fps on the video clips. Good choice.

CNY Sunday 1/30, I stayed home most the time. Did nothing much and stay home reading (yeah right, what a laid back activity). Bought a few books before and decided to take the chance to read.

This is life, for better for worse, we go with it and make it colorful. Happy new year.

End of the bachelor-hood

Hoclee got married yesterday.... wohoo... congratulations to you brah. He finally made the move and ended his love marathon for over 8 years.

The ceremony was taken place at SF City Hall. I am honored to present this pic, hoclee and his wife - Ayako (and yes, she is Japanese).

Note: Hoclee is my college buddy in Fayetteville Arkansas. He is a PE in Civil Engineering, currently working in San Jose.

Chinese New Year is coming - Jan 29 2006

Time flies, can you believe it? Chinese New Year is around the corner, Sunday Jan 29. This coming year is the year of doggie, wof wof wof... sighs, I missed all the CNY things in Asia!!!

Hmm... that also means my younger sister is turning 24 this year. I still remember when she was small. The time I left for US, she was only 14. Anyway, good memory is always good to be remembered and talked about. At the same time, bad memory should be remembered too, so that we prevent not to let it happen again.

Jan 29 is also my mom's birthday. Here I would like to take the chance to send my early greetings and best wishes to her as well. Happy birthday to you my mother :).

Happy New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai, Give me money.

This will be a great year!
