SF with King

Man, time went by fast! After last weekend with King, did I just pass out for the following days? I think busy is sometimes good where time will go by fast. However, busy is just one part of our life, we still need to live with meaning.

I look at this pic, I look fat!

Alamo Square... remember Full House?

Beyond Rocks!

P-Daddy, check this out. Today I feel like playing Beyond's song 祝你愉快.

In the original version back in the 94 album, they did this in single 4 strums in each bar. In the 2005 live concert, they did the same song in a more rhythmic strums. You will like it... As to the chord, follow the version on the right (the hand written one, sounds better :)).

I might need to find out how to upload clip here so that you can listen to it. As you can see, I have Yellow - ColdPlay chords on the post-it note too :). Special thanks to Jesse for showing me some new chords!

By looking at the chords, you might be asking "hmm... what is Gm, Bb??" So, see pic below and practice more:

Gm (355333), same location as power G on 3rd fret, but with your middle finger released.

Bb 113331 (use your 4th and 5th fingers for string 2,3,4)

Or with my crooked fingers :P, I managed to use my 5th finger to press on the 2,3,4 strings.

IS 250 - Pretty cool sport sedan

Let's have some car talk...

2006 Lexus IS 250. A new IS design (second generation) finally came out this year. First impression on the exterior is like "wow... GS350's little brother!" It looks quite cool and not bad performance too. Yet, quite pricy. IS250 RWD, MSRP $31K++

Show me the hamster under the hood...

IS 250 6-Speed Sequential.
2.5 V6 RWD.
204HP @ 6400rpm.
185ft/lb @ 4800rpm.
0-60mph @ 5.37sec (wa.... can go shoulder to shoulder with WRX wo...)

Correction, my bad... above 0-60mph information is referred to IS350. 0-60mph for IS250 is actually 7.20sec. (so, WRX is still faster hehehe...)

Interior front design

Gangsta style... why you sit so far back? hahahah....

17" Alloy rims with 245/45 tires. Man, stock wheels also that big/wide?!

Keyless Start/Stop engine button (as long as you have the remote control inside the car). I feel elite... hahahah.... Technology today is so advanced. On the other hand, I think this is quite dangerous too, too high tech now, one might forget how to operate a more mechanical vehicle or start a car by using car key. Or if one day the battery dies, then... you imagine about it...

6-Speed Sequential shift (I called this F1 flaps, makes me feel like a F-1 racer :P)

Heated seats are quite standard on cars today...Other than heated seats, IS also comes with cooling seats setting?! man, my butt feel cool ...
Conclusion:
Overall a great car, but pricy :P
Have you seen the latest Camry? It looks a like IS!!!! Camry owners might be thinking, "heh, I spent lesser $ for something like IS." IS owners might be thinking, ".. @#$%^... "

Cincinnati - Here I come again

I spent my Easter weekend in Cincinnati OH last week. It was great. Most importantly, I spent a quality time with my sister there.

Cincinnati downtown...

Sister's big house...

I like the family room with high ceiling. Very comfy.
It has been almost 5 years since I last visited Cincinnati. The first time was in 2000 (when my sister first worked there), second time in 2001(right before my sister relocated to Geneva). Now she is back to the US.

Two lovely and friendly cats...

The city, the town still looks the same... nice and peaceful. Something that I enjoy in such place (like in Fayetteville before): People with polite smiles when passing by, pedestrians always have the right of way, neighbors with endless topics to talk about, "fence-less" neighborhood, ....

Walking around the neighborhood...

At night, Skype with family ... (do you find me with the same goofy smiling style?)
From the backyard...
Looking for "something" underneath the deck??How come don't find nothing...

Let me conclude this: It was a great trip....

How do you feel today?

It has been a long while since I last asked myself in the morning, "how do you feel today?". Following with the options: I am happy, or I am not happy. I am happy/not happy is because I choose to be happy/not happy. Everytime I asked myself, I have the answer "I feel happy today." Simple reason, because I chose to be happy.

For some reasons, I forgot to ask myself about this question anymore. I also found that I am going into depression mode sometimes too. Until last week, a coworker chatted with me about something and concluded with this "my point to you is to tell you to live your life, how you want to deal with the moment. Don't let someone/something bother you...". Also the same day, my boss asked me "I don't see your aggressiveness like before anymore, why?"

Tomorrow is going to be better. I hope to see the change. No, I want to change.

Yao Ming Part II - Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors

Today after work, went to watch NBA (Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets). First encounter in the basketball arena to watch live NBA. It was a great feeling to see something I have not experienced before - The crowds, the fans, the performers, the dancers, and of course the NBA players.

Saw mostly black players (no idea who is who), bunch of hot dancers (hot!), and a very stand out person: Yao Ming - #11. He is really tall! He did quite a good performance during the game, some rebounds, some good shots, some free throws, made quite some points and he has several fouls too. Maybe is his big/tall size(310lbs??), he moved slower than some players. I think I was so slow to know what was happening(when the referee blew the whistle), but I could still know what was going on :P. Read until here, you can tell I am pretty much a basketball outsider. Anyway, here is the result of game 38: Rockets 100, Warriors 93.

This is from my seat... the last section.

The game in action...

The mascot was giving out free pizza deal...

Hot mamas in action during one of the recess time...

Back to the game...

Yao Ming's free throw... 4th quarterThe Warriors fans tried to distract Yao Ming's free throw.
and he missed...More hot mamas in action.... Street dance performance The last 40 seconds... Rockets 98 and Warriors 93
To conclude, I like it... not bad, but quite pricy.

I love my camera... it did a great job (and of course, with the combination of a good camera man too :P ahem... fake cough) .

I started to wonder why I have never been to college football or basketball before I left Fayetteville ... hmm...

Yao Ming - Yo Yao Yo Yao Yo Yao....

This Friday, I am going to watch live NBA wohoo... SF Warriors vs Houston Rockets.
I am not a basketball fans and don't know about basketball ... but I am going to experience something new. Another main reason is that I am going to "find Yao Ming". Yao Ming from Houston Rocket. Who is Yao Ming? See here... Yao Ming Yao Ming, I am going to find you :).

Since I am ... ahem(fake cough)... some sort of car guy, I found this: Yao Ming's custom made BMW 7 series.
See the seat, can go all the way to the back so that his tall body can fit it.
