We spent a half day to visit Pagoh the other day. Pagoh is father's hometown back in the late 1939. This small town (in Johor) is located about 30 min south of Muar. That was actually the first time I went there.
The town is small, maybe a few blocks of streets (downtown) and some houses around. Other than that, mostly are farms like rubber trees, palm trees, fruits farms...
Father's friend called up some other friends to make it as their elementary school friends' gathering, that made the trip colorful for father. Some friends, he didn't even meet since he left Pagoh (when he was about 10).
Seeing them talking about old time, like running through people's farms to steal fruits, swimming in the river, hidding in the farm from the Jap attack (WW2), .. etc is like listening to history.
This is a wonderful trip to me.

The empty land (house no longer there) used to be the house that father lived.

Old friends chit chat... :)

D13 Durian - Bam! Have not tried Durian for years!
Seeing all this, reminds me to cherish what I have now. Time flies, when it goes by, it won't come back.
